working hard?

saturday we spent majority of the day at the house fixing things and cleaning things. when we bought the house there was a water spot on the ceiling in the garage. we figured it was the master shower because most of our bathroom sits atop the garage. last saturday trent cut a hole in the ceiling and we discovered that it was actually a hole in the pipe. we were actually relieved because this would be a pretty easy fix and we wouldn't have to mess with the shower. we don't have a ladder yet so trent took the pile of bricks in our garage and rigged himself a nice ladder.

you can see the mess he made the saturday before. we didn't have anything to clean it up with, but we made a trip to good old home depot and bought supplies so while he worked on the pipe i swept the garage.

sweeping the garage didn't take me very long and it was pretty nice outside so i decided to try my hand at clipping the bushes. the first two bushes i've started to trim the other three are from a year of just growing. i forgot to take a final picture so i will post that later. i was pretty proud of myself for never trimming before. it was pretty hard shaping the bushes and getting them all even. i have a lot more to do and hopefully the weather will be warm enough this week.

i am getting really anxious to get moved into the house. every time i go over there it feels more and more like home. i just can't wait until we actually move in!
