ok so our anniversary was this past
sunday (08-03-08) and i had every intention of blogging and posting what we did, but my
sunday took a little twist. (this could be a little gruesome) after church i chugged some water and immediately i had to pee. so i went to the bathroom and came back out to watch be kind rewind, which is super funny, and two seconds later i had to go again but nothing and it felt really weird, well this went on for a couple hours of me just sitting in the bathroom and then all the sudden i noticed blood too, so
trent got on the
internet and decided that it was either a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection, so i called my sister because my niece has had a couple
uti's and she told me i needed to call the doctor because it could get really bad if left untreated. so i called the on call doctor and he prescribed me some medication and told me to be careful because it will turn my pee a bright orange and that it will stain whatever it touches. isn't that a little weird? well the medication kicked in nice and
promplty and so far i have felt pretty good. i am so thankful for modern medication and am totally for taking medication. the minute i get a headache or anything aches i take
meds. i asked
trent what the pioneers did for
uti's and we just came to the conclusion if they couldn't get it to go away with herbs, they probably just died. i am grateful i live in
todays world and not as a pioneer because i would have been dead a long time ago.

so we decided to go to
logan and go to a few of our favorite places for the day. so to start off the day i surprised
trent with an hour massage at
kakoi while i got a pedicure. well let me just tell you how upsetting this was. if you live in
logan or go there, don't EVER go there. i was so disappointed i
could've cried.
trent didn't mind his massage but i was embarrassed for the girl who gave me my pedicure. first of all she was wearing a super low cut dress which was also very short, so when i got in the chair i had no idea where to look. then she didn't hardly way a word to me other then to ask what color i wanted. so i picked out this really pretty sparkly red so i would look nice for
dan's wedding. well, when she was done i about died, there was paint all over my toes and then she has me put these other sandals on that wouldn't mess up the paint,
hah ya right. they were so screwed up by the time i got to the car i scraped the paint off. i know, i know i should have told her but i am not one to make scenes so i just let it go, plus we were spending the day together and didn't want to ruin that. so i just painted my toes myself when we got home.

after that we went to lunch at cafe
sabor. this is one of our favorite places to eat in
logan and went to eat here with a group of friends on one of our first dates. it was so yummy and perfect as we sat outside and ate the burrito supreme. (i think that's what it's called) i also allowed myself to splurge and i got a soda. oh it was so yummy. the coolest part was the we ran into a good friend of ours that we hadn't seen in seriously two years. Liz-it was so good to see you and
i'm glad you have a blog to keep in touch!

after lunch we drove around and looked at houses and how different
logan is even after two years. then i took
trent to get
aggie ice cream because even though he lived there for 3 years he had NEVER been. i mean seriously, come on! so we decided to get two
scoops and boy was that a mess. mine was melting so fast i had to put my cone upside down in a cup.

this cute woman came up to us and asked us if she could take a picture, it was so nice. so here we are outside and
im loosing my
ice cream, next time i will only get one scoop.
trent got
praline pecan and mint chocolate chip and i got strawberry cheesecake. oh man it was so delicious. then we drove out to my favorite spot (forgot to take a pic) and then we drove home. it was such a wonderful day and i am so happy to be married to the best husband in the world. thank you so much for taking care of me and being so patient. i love you so much!
so we also had a bbq with a few friends. it was tons of fun. our friend Jordan has a mini weenie, bailey, and so we called it the weenie party so we brought weenie and just let them play. bailey is way old and so he didn't like weenie very much, he would just run and bark at him, he didn't really want to play, but i think they still had fun.

some of
trents friends from plain city, i think almost everyone of the guys grew up in plain city.

i was so sad because i was trying to make sushi rolls but it wasn't working out very well.

here is how the first batch turned out,
yah they didn't stay rolled but at least everyone said they were still good. sorry guys!
after awhile i realized that the rice was to sticky so i put some water in the rice and it worked a whole lot better.
yeah for the weenie dogs. weenie was tons bigger than bailey, i told jordan i would trade him dogs so i could have the smaller dog, but everyone knows i could never do that i am way too attached to my baby weenie.
we stayed there until after midnight playing guitar hero. trent played this one song over and over and over because he wanted to get it perfect. he is not normally a perfectionist on many things, but there are a few things he is pretty particular about and one of them is the guitar. overall it was such a fun weekend and sunday night we had dinner with trents family and i mostly laid in bed but then they had me come to the kitchen and they sang the happy birthday song to us replacing the words with happy anniversary and we had cake. it was so wonderful and nice to be with family who honestly care about you. Thanks everyone!

Congrats!! It sounds like you guys had a great anniversary. Oh I know how disappointing botched nails can be...unfortunately mine were for my own wedding and I couldn't say anything because my nail girl was an innactive member! Sounds like you had fun anyway!!!
It sounds like you guys had a fun date. :) Happy Anniversary!!
Happy ann, I am so sorry about the UTI I hate them and get them all the time, so I know about that medication, isn't it the best? We wanted to come to the party but I wasn't feeling well and we knew we'd be the only ones with kids so we didn't want to come.
Happy 2 year anniversary! It looks like you guys spent it in a good way...that ice cream place looks amazing, I think i might have to take jesse there.
Horray for 2 years! I feel like that went by fast. :)
