now we can relax.....

i think every time trents parents would talk to us on the phone they could sense that trent and i felt overwhelmed with stuff to get done on the house, so one night they called and told us they were coming for just over a week to help us out. they arrived on friday and we put them right to work. saturday we spent   about 10 hours outside pulling weeds, working on the sprinklers, and weed n feeding the yard (sad part is,we only got the front yard done) i think we were all super happy that on sunday we could just relax all day and watch general conference.

weenie even played outside all day and was so tired he feel asleep like a baby on trent.  it was the cutest thing, he slept there for 2 hours. soon trent will be holding weenie and the baby!

he woke up when we all started snacking and wanted in on his share, don't worry the bag is empty and he is only getting crumbs.

monday, while trent went to work, we went to work on the backyard.  again we spent about 10 hours pulling weeds, working on the sprinklers, and weed n feeding the lawn.  luckily the backyard gets good shade for most of the afternoon, the sun was a killer.  we ended up with 3 trash cans and 9 trash bags full of weeds and dead grass.  then on tuesday we went back to the front and pulled a few dead bushes and trimmed the rest.  we went to lunch with trent that afternoon and came back and trents dad patched the hole in the garage ceiling.

we also put up two water beds and trent and his dad worked on the osmosis system for our water.  weenie loved having trents parents here and followed lavaun everywhere she went. he also woke up every morning earlier than normal and would sit on the edge of the bed waiting to hear them in the other room, then he would race out of our room to go see them.

trent took friday off and so thursday night (after getting 60 cent wings and buffalo wild wings) trent and his dad went to work cutting tile.  trent and i decided that we wanted to include some marble pieces and with marble being so fragile we wanted to cut that first so the blade was still nice and sharp.  so the boys went to work cutting the marble.  we had planned on getting started actually laying the tile while his parents were here, but that didn't quit happen.

it ended up taking them 2 full days to cut all the marble.  i think they cut like 150 pieces of marble. trent designed this really cool design to go right in the entry way and it was pretty difficult, so cutting the marble for that took majority of the second day.

of course weenie had to be in all the action and even took a drink or two out of the water for the tile saw.

the boys at the end of the second day, very tired and sore, but happy to be done cutting-i think.  we called it an early day (which was about 7) and cleaned up and went to eat at olive garden.  it was so delicious, but i decided to ruin dinner by spilling half of trents water right onto his moms dinner.  luckily she was able to just tip her plate and dump the water onto her salad plate.  she said her dinner was still very good and the water didn't ruin it, but i still felt really bad.  the rest of the night we just at snacks and watched a movie.  trents parents got up pretty early on sunday and headed home.

i am so grateful that they were so willing to come and help us get things done.  we would've never been able to get all the things done so quickly without them.  we are so relieved and feel like we can actually finish the floor before the baby comes.  i could list all the things we got done but, that would take too long and be pretty boring.  thanks for coming out here and spending all your time working on our house, we can't thank you enough.  we love you two!
