i'm playing catch up

in february we had our first non family visitor.  and he will probably never come back.  the day before he came i took mya to the doctor and she had an ear infection, poor girl. the day he was scheduled to arrive trent came home with a 103 fever.  at this point i was the only one feeling good so i put trent and mya to bed and off i went to the airport.  on the way back i started with the same symptoms.  AHHHH.  I felt so bad.  we chatted for a bit and then went to bed (it was like 1am) the next morning trent and i felt like miserable.  so miserable in fact that i made doctor appointments for that afternoon.  it's not like trent to really take medication or even go to the doctor but i think he was desperate.  come to find out we had influenza a.  It was awful but because we caught it before 48 hours was up they gave us tamiflu.  this is a miracle drug but took a good 36 hours to kick in.  i wad petrified that mya was going to get it so i took her to the doc so they could just give us medication (i didn't want her to be that miserable) come to find out they can't do anything for the flu for anyone under 2.  ok start real panic mode.  so we had to be really careful and wash like crazy.  the last couple days chris was here we felt better so we took him to un. of texas campus and then to oasis and of course the yummy places to eat here.  the day after he left i took of for a week in cheyenne.  for some reason i didn't take a single picture.  but mya did great and we had a great time. *mya is signing more

 mya got stuck and wasn't happy that i left her there to get the camera.

 we had a snow day.  it was awesome because trent's work was shut down and so he got the day off.  we hung out and made homemade hot chocolate and by noon the snow was gone and we went shopping!

 even though mya is almost 10 months and moves really well, i still go into check on her about 100 times.  the last few times she has been sleeping pretty funny.  she usually sleeps with her arms under her chest and her bum in the air but i haven't snapped a shot of that.

 i love how she is holding onto the string.  yep she knows how to untie it and plays with it for about an hour before she actually falls asleep for her nap.

 her hair is getting really long and is super cute but she wakes up with some crazy hair most days.

 one day we came home from the store and she pushed the diaper box around the room all afternoon so i went and searched (about 20 stores, ok so that's an exaggeration but you get the point) and finally found this cute little shopping cart. she LOVES this toy.  although she pushes it sideways she's still getting really good at walking with it and i'm hoping she'll learn to walk for real soon.

 this is her other favorite toy.  she will stand and play with this all day long.

 she also loves to take all her clothes and put them in the box and then take them out one by one (maybe a little ocd?)

i think her all time favorite thing to do still is look our her window.  especially in the afternoon because the neighbor kids are running around and she LOVES to watch them resulting in us eventually having to go outside for a walk.

her least favorite thing.  the gate.  she doesn't mind if i'm upstairs with her but if i run down to change the laundry or anything else and don't take her, it results in her crying while clinging to the gate. will she ever play alone?

and there's the last month and a half in a nut shell.  i feel like time is just flying by and in just 2 short months mya will be 1.  where has the time gone?
