4 plates in 2 years

yes, i have had 4 plates in the last 2 years. i am hoping to keep the texas one for a very long time!

on labor day three years ago we were headed to cheyenne to visit my family and we got pulled over TWICE by the same COP in the same weekend. both times were for the stupid front license place. i seriously don't understand why it's such a big deal. as long as i have a back plate then who cares. they only give you one plate to put on the back of your car in indiana, and i think every state should be like that. so THIS labor day we got pulled over as well for not having a stupid front plate. i had just registered it TWO days before and trent didn't have time to put the front one on yet.
well a couple nights later we headed over to good old home depot and trent got some bolts and such and proceeded to put the plate on. well what we didn't know was that there was a ton of foam behind the bumper and so trent wouldn't be able to just drill holes and reach his hand up to tighten the bolts so............he took the entire bumper off. doesn't my car look totally messed up?

i seriously thought that this was going to turn into a nightmare, but it actually ended up being really easy and took less than an hour. drilling the holes was the coolest part for me. seriously my husband can do anything.

i was super picky about the placement of the plate so that took some time to get EXACTLY centered.

and here she is! it's really weird to have the plate on the front. as long as i've had the car there has never been a front plate. but i'm glad it's done and i'm glad i'm legal and won't have to worry about stupid policeman pulling me over anymore for my front plate.

kai day

i had a play date today with my friend liz's little boy kai.(it sounds like kite without the te) it was just us and we had such a good time. Sometimes i get lonely here by myself all day and i know moms' need a break.

after i took the first picture of him he wanted more and more and then wanted to see them. after a couple hours of being here he sort of crashed and wanted me to lay by him. there was no falling asleep for this kid though, he laid there for a bit and got his second wind. that kid never stops. i told him to look at the tv but he insisted on looking at the camera.

our house isn't really equipped with fun things for 3 year olds to do, so we watched dora, played a little dominos (3 year old style) played with weenie and then kai decided to run to the top of the stairs-telling me they were my special stairs, and then roll down them. weenie followed him every time,it was super cute. right when kai got here weenie wanted him to play so he barked at him and kai burst out in tears. so i asked him if he was hurt and he just said no he scared me, i couldn't help but laugh it was just so cute!

oops i posted this backwards. this will be the weekend going backwards. this is a family picture of us from sunday. trent laid down on the couch so i laid down to cuddle with him while blaynes kids were playing games on the floor and i guess weenie felt left out so he crawled up and laid on my back and rested his head on my neck. surprisingly he stayed there for a long time. (sorry about the no makeup)

saturday my friend saybaby and john came up from salt lake and we ate at the new firehouse pizzeria in centerville. and instead of paying for the yummy ff'zookie we decided to go home and make our own. don't they look delicious?

i would just like to say this is my first picture with the new eyes. i honestly think i look so different than what i actually thought. i mean....when i looked at myself in the mirror all i saw was a girl with glasses, but when i looked at myself without my glasses on all i saw was a blurry girl, so i honestly have never really seen myself without glasses. i must say that i am so loving not wearing glasses.

friday night we bought treats and rented a couple movies and weenie tried to sneak off with my mambo. i think he is like me and loves treats and candy. i think i would die without them and i guess so would he.

Bar J Wranglers

trents parents bought us tickets to go see Bar J Wranglers with them. it's a group from jackson hole, wyoming who sing and play instruments. not only are they incredible musicians they are hilarious. we were all laughing so hard that at one point trents moms gum came flying out of her mouth. i would totally go again and actually am thinking about adding it to our adventures for the stock reunion. it was a fun night. thanks glen and lavaun for the valentines gift!

whoops

all i can say it CRAP! trent has been gone the last couple days and i, not wanting to cook dinner opted for salad. well it tasted so good to me on monday that i had it again last night. i told trent about how it tasted like pizza hut salad (we LOVE pizza hut salad), so he wanted salad again tonight. i was out of ranch and so i made another batch and put it in the fridge and started doing dishes. i decided to clean out the fridge of old food and as i was pulling out some food, i accidentally knocked over my freshly made ranch and it came crashing to the ground and spilled everywhere. it happened so fast i couldn't even react. my first thought was, oh i'm glad i got the camera out of my purse and it's within reach. i know i'm crazy, but needless to say it took me a full roll of paper towels and a little help from weenie to clean it up. i had to go wash my feet in the tub. what a fun night. now i get to make it all over again, we'll see how this one goes, wish me luck!

ok so i got this off my friend saywards blog, (the first one is me and the second one is trent) and when i first tried it i typed in my maiden name and there were only 7 or something like that, but when i typed in my new name i was a little surprised there weren't more. emily is usually the most popular name each year and christensen is a very popular last name-well at least in utah it is. maybe i will give my kids names that are so weird that no one is bound to ever have their name, oh wait i guess only celebrities can do that.
